Marie Jane Moore, 64, of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday January 29, 2026 at River Run Health Care in Portsmouth. She was born July 11, 1961 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Charles and Clarice Merinar. 

Marie was a graduate of Brooke High School in Wellsburg, West Virginia. She loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed knitting and playing games on her phone. 

Marie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Eric Moore; children, Dawn (Edward) Cook of Stout, Buddy (Brooklyn) Blizzard of South Webster, Benjamin Blizzard of Ironton, John (Lisa) Morgan of Portsmouth, Terry King (girl friend) Susie of Wheelersburg and Shane (Brittany) Artley of South Webster. She has 25 grandkids and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded by 2 sisters, Linda and Shirley Blizzard, a brother that died at birth, her grandparents along with other family members.

Funeral Services will be 8:00 PM Friday February 13, 2026 at D.W. SWICK & SON FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES in South Webster. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to services.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday February 21, 2026 at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Beech Bottom, WV.
