Mart Wicker, 64, of Wheelersburg passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at SOMC HOSPICE  CENTER in Portsmouth.  He was born March 24, 1959 to the late James and Sarah (Horton) Wicker in Portsmouth.  Mart served as  a Vernon Township Trustee for 12 years.  He loves camping and any activity that involves the outdoors.  Mart also loved working on cars and worked many years as a mechanic.

Mart is survived by his wife Rebecca (Knappenberger) Wicker of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Misty Lemon and husband Ross of Wheelersburg; four brothers, Ralph Wicker and wife Mary of Foley, Alabama, Gary Wicker and wife Connie of South Webster, Fred Wicker and wife Kimberly of Wheelersburg, and Danny Wicker of Wheelersburg; four sisters, Omedia Spriegel and husband James of Gallipolis, Myrtle Barber and husband Jerry of Wheelersburg, Brenda Lore and husband Roy of Wheelersburg, and Beulah Gee of Wheelersburg; three grandchildren, Peyton Lemon, Brody Lemon, and Ella Lemon.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Erica Knappenberger; a brother, James Wicker, two sisters, Nancy Harkless and Phyllis Wicker.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Donnie Massie officiating.  Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
