Age 79 of Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at her home. She was born October 24, 1936 in Franklin Furnace to Orville and Vera (Bennington) DeBoard. Martina was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening, flowers, and collecting Lee Middleton dolls. In her younger days she loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, participate in old car shows, and also played the electric bass in a Country Western band. She was a follower of Pastor Murray and the Shepherd's Chapel.

Martina is survived by two daughters, Theresa Marquis (Jeff) of Wheelersburg, Sheila Kavanagh of West Mansfield; one sister, Wanda Ratliff (Ronald) of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Michael McConnahea (Teesha) of Urbana, Jonathan McConnahea (Felisha) of Marysville, Travis Kavanagh of Dayton, Michele Kavanagh of West Mansfield; four great-grandchildren, Ashtin, Christopher, Rylynn, and Noah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in 2003.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville wth Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Friday.
