Age 64 of New Boston, went to be with the Lord January 29. 2017 at SOMC in Portsmouth. He was born April 23, 1952 in New Boston to Alvin and Anna (Lewis) Adkins. Marvin was a carpenter by trade, loved reading the Bible, was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Chasity Alexander of Bellefontaine, Julie Robinson of Columbus; five grandchildren, Bo and Tia Alexander, Seth Adkins, Isiah and Madison Robinson; two brothers, Earl Adkins of Sciotoville, Howard Adkins of Wheelersburg; five sisters, Ruia Clinger of Wheelersburg, Delphia Maggard of Wheelersburg, Wanda Hurst of Hamilton, Emily Elkins of Bellefontaine, Sharon Rawlins of Wheelersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Raymond, and Ronald Adkins; and one sister, Wilma Rawlins.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 3, 2017 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Lewis Rawlins officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Burial Park.
