Age 71 of Portsmouth, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at OSU in Columbus. She was born December 18, 1946 in New Boston to David and Gertrude (Smith) Holbrook. Mary was a 1965 graduate of Glenwood High School and worked for over 10 years as a Tipper Operator for Michellace. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed Bingo and crocheting. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Frank G. (Kristen) Scarberry of Lancaster, William E. Scarberry of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Alex, Regan, Jerry, Larry, Breanna, and Amber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William A. Scarberry, Jr. on July 16, 1967; brother, David Holbrook; sister, Karen Peck.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Brian Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
