Mary Jane Mollett, 81, of Sciotoville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Born on November 4, 1944, in Latham, she was the daughter of the late Howard Pollitt and Alma Grace (Robinson) Gilliam.
Mary Jane was a woman who loved to stay active. She found great joy in woodworking, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She especially treasured the time she spent with her family, and her greatest happiness came from being with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Neary Grace Mollett of Sciotoville; Anna Louise (Dennis Stamper) Mollett Wheeler of Franklin Furnace; Charlene (Chester) Barnett of Franklin Furnace; and Alice Mollett Wheeler of Sciotoville. She is also leaves behind her brothers, Delbert (Tracie Hendrickson) Mollett of Franklin Furnace and Marvin (Betty) Mollett of Oak Hill; her sister, Evelyn Dales of Sandusky; eight grandchildren, Kayden, Kannon, Timmy, Eve, Mary, Miranda, Ashley, and Nikkey; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis; her brothers, Jim and Ronnie Pollitt; and her great-grandchild, Ricky Grooms III.
Mary Jane will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her love of family, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 05, 2026 , 2:00PM at D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Wheelersburg, officiated by Jeremy and Rick Mollett. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00PM prior to the service. Interment to follow at Mollett Family Cemetery.
