Mary Helena McDaniel, 39, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026. Born on March 8, 1987, in Portsmouth, Mary was the daughter of the late Scott Kelly and Donna Ball.

Mary made her home in Ocala, Florida, where she attended Riverland Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Florida. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished her church family. Before moving to Florida, she attended Frederick Free Will Baptist Church during her years in South Webster. Mary found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time fishing, expressing her creativity through painting, and making memories with those she loved. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Potts of South Webster; her son, Jeffrey McDaniel of Ocala, Florida; her brothers, David Potts of South Webster and Thomas Potts of Ocala, Florida; along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her father, Scott Kelly, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jeremy McDaniel, and her brother, Cody Kelly.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 11, 2026, 1:00 PM at Frederick Freewill Baptist Church in South Webster, with Rusty Larter officiating; interment to follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon at the church, prior to the service. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in South Webster.
