Mary Ann Reeder Smith Freehill, born Oct. 2, 1948 of Scioto Furnace, died Wed. Feb. 22, 2012, with the love of her family and friends with her. She will be missed by her husband, Charles Freehill, whom she married on Dec. 5, 1997, in Greenup, Ky. She was blessed with 2 adopted daughters, Audria Smith of Scioto Furnace and Alexis Smith of Waterloo, Ill; 3 sons, Anthony Daren Smith, Albert Derrick Smith and Arrick Dean Smith, all of South Webster; 3 step-sons, Mike Freehill of Waterloo, Ill., Jeremy Freehill of Florissant, Mo. and Kevin E. Johnson of Portsmouth. Mary had 30 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She also left behind 2 sisters, Saundra Kay Blevins of Wheelersburg and Rebecca Murphy of South Webster;a brother, Farnum "Bub" Reeder of Ironton. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Reeder, her father, Farnum "Buck" Reeder, Sr., her first husband, Albert "Junior" Smith and half brother William Roger Reed. Services will be 2 pm Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Mike Gifford and Frank Lewis officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 pm at D.W. Swick in South Webster and one hour prior to the service.
