Obituary

Age 84 of Portsmouth, passed away March 5, 2016 at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. She was born May 4, 1931 in Sciotoville and was a 1951 graduate of East High School. She was a homemaker, married to Charles Schouster, and enjoyed raising her children and tending her garden. She was known as having a green thumb and raised beautiful flowers. She enjoyed birdwatching, cooking, and was talented in all kinds of crafts, sewing, and upholstering. Maudie was a Christian and attended the Camp Bennett Christian Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; three sons, Charles E. Schouster of Hampton, VA, Joseph William Schouster of Katy, TX, Terry Ray Schouster of Hobe Sound, FL; two daughters, Sandra Dee Rawlins (David) of Minford, Tammie Mault (Marion) of Clarksville, TN; ten grandchildren, Brandon, Barry, Dustin, Tiffni, Charles, Cassi, Josh, Nicole, Quinn, Ethan; five great-grandchildren, Noah, Preston, Dylan, Gavin, Bryson; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tom Schouster; many brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Delores Carrington officiating. Visitation will be from 11 - 12 with a ceremony at 12. Online condolences may be left at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
