Melvin 'Frank' Roberts, 80, of Portsmouth, died Sat. June 5, 2010 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born June 5, 1930 in New Boston, a son of the late Henry and Lou Edna DeBoard Roberts. Frank attended First Christian Holiness Church in New Boston, was a published Poet and had won the Golden Poet of the Year award several times. He is survived by his wife, Connie Monoskie Roberts; a daughter, Teresa Tolliver and husband Joey of West Portsmouth; two sisters, Betty Jarrells of Eagle Pass, TX. and Carol Bentley of Clarktown; one brother, Paul Roberts of Copperas Cove, TX.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Services will be 11 AM Thurs., June 10, 2010 at First Christian Holiness Church with Rev. Lorenzo Bentley officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park.
