Age 59 of Portsmouth went to be with the Lord March 19, 2016. He was born April 21, 1956 in Crestline, OH to Edward and Flossie (McLaughlin) Gorman. He was a member of St. Paul's Church of Christ in St. Paul, Kentucky. Michael loved fishing, picnics, cooking out, listening to Bob Seger, and especially spending time with his family. He had also volunteered time as a baseball coach and 4H advisor.

He is survived by his wife Cora; five sons, Bobby Gorman and his girlfriend Amanda Meade of Piketon, Michael Gorman and his girlfriend Trina Riley of Chillicothe, Rodney Gorman of Waverly, Matt Gorman and Louie Gorman both of Portsmouth; two daughters, Michelle Gorman of Waverly, Rachel Potter (Willie) of Columbus; one brother, Edward Gorman (Michelle) of Saucier, MS, two sisters, Bonnie Cassidy (Jim) of Portsmouth, Betty (Jim) of Bainbridge; 13 grandchildren including Austin Gorman who he raised; three great grandchildren, brother-in-law Junior LeMaster of Bainbridge, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Sandra LeMaster. The family would like to thank DCI and his caregiver Terra Fannin for all her wonderful help.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Paul Church of Christ in St. Paul, KY with Pastor Dave Webster officiating.
