Michael Lee Todd "Mikie", 46, of Hilliard, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning May 27, 2009 at his residence, after a long battle with ALS "Lou Gehrig's Disease." He was born June 26, 1962 in Portsmouth to Talmage "Mike" & Diana Bussa Todd. Mike was self-employed in Columbus, where he operated a lawn care business. He loved all sports, especially softball, & he volunteered his time to the Boys & Girls Club of Columbus, where he helped coach kids of many different age levels. Mike also enjoyed working on cars & was currently working on rebuilding his 1973 Impala. He was a proud member of the American Legion in Columbus.

Mike is survived by his wife, Heather Diehl Todd, five children, Myka Todd of Zanesville, Chad Todd, Cody Todd, Victoria Todd, & Kamryn Todd, all of Hilliard, two step-sons, Austin & Jessie Poelvoorde, both of Hilliard, his parents, Talmage "Mike" & Diana Bussa Todd, of Sciotoville, a brother, Scott Todd of Sciotoville, & two sisters, Sherri Todd of Columbus & Tammy Doyle of Columbus. He is also survived by his grandmother, Ruby Grimes of Zanesville, two grandchildren, Taygan Michael Serenity Todd & Landon Matthew Todd, & several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robie Bussa, John Grimes; and one great nephew Michael Dale Doyle.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 30, 2009 at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Mike Skaggs officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday May 29, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., & again on Saturday, one hour before the service.
