Age 94 of Portsmouth, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at her home She was born in New Boston on January 16, 1921 to Charles and Daisy (Blevins) Elliott She was a member of Milldale Apostolic Church Myrtle was a homemaker who enjoyed canning, cooking, embroidery, and writing poems Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Ernest Messer of Minford, Ken Messer (Verla) of Wheelersburg; sister, Freda Noel (Richard) of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1997; nine brothers and sisters; one nephew, Gary Tindall whom she helped raise.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at D.W.
