Nancy Dale (Jenkins) Bower, 80, of Portsmouth, Ohio, ran into the open arms of Jesus her Lord and Savior on Monday February 27, 2023. She was born November 30, 1942 in Sciotoville, Ohio to Dale and Lucille (Whitley) Jenkins. She graduated from Minford High School in 1960 and Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Nancy retired from American Electric Power. She was a lifelong member of Berean Baptist Church and was the church organist for many years. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment were her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Lee Bower. Her daughter, Kelly LuAnn (William) Johnson and son, Larry Lee (Michele) Bower II. Grandchildren, William Clayton Johnson, Dale Carson (McKenna) Johnson, Carly Elizabeth Johnson, and Evan Lee Bower. Sisters Linda Lou Hawkins, Sarah Maxine (Anthony) Di Prima, and brother-in-law Dr. Thomas Brackey. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Ann Brackey, and brother-in-law Larry Hawkins.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at D. W. Swick Funeral Home, (Wolfe – Nelson Chapel) Sciotoville, Ohio with Pastor Ralph Clay officiating.
