Nancy Alice Spray, age 64, of Portsmouth died Monday, October 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born August 22, 1945 at Selfridge Field near Lansing, MI to Challis and Beulah (Hillman) Spray. Nancy graduated from Minford High School in 1963 and attended Morehead State where she received her B.A. in Political Science. She was a case worker for the Scioto County Welfare Department for many years. She also attended Christ Community Church in Portsmouth. She is survived by two sisters, Jane Ann Taylor of Columbus, and Mary Kruse (Keith) of Blue Ash, OH; two nieces, Katie and Krystal Spray. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Betty Walker, and one brother, William Spray. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Ralph Clay officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Christ Community Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Association. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
