Age 85 of Wheelersburg, passed away on November 8, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.  She was born in Greenup County, KY on November 29, 1929 to Daniel and Alma (Royal) Holbrook.  She had worked at the Area Agency on Aging and the Selby Shoe Factory and attended Grace Methodist Church in South Webster.

Nelly is survived by two sons, Donald Cole (Katherine) of King George, VA, Daniel Cole (Mary) of Ironton; two daughters, Susan Smith of South Webster, Novella King of Port Clinton; two brothers, John Holbrook (Eloise) of Wheelersburg, Howard Holbrook (Roilene) of Greenup County, KY; four sisters, Minnie Billups and Jewell Stone, both of South Shore, KY, Pamela Whitt and Linette Sommers (Howard), both of Greenup County, KY; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Olive Whitt.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Bob Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery in South Webster.
