Norma Jean Lyle, 73, of Portsmouth went to with the Lord on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born May 4, 1935 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late George Munion and Dorothy Henry Munion Cooper. She was a homemaker. Norma is survived by three sons, Spencer Munion of Warren, OH., Doug (Susie) Munion and Bob (Kay) Swords all of Portsmouth; two daughters, Joyce Moore of Blue Creek and Jane Diller of Portsmouth; a daughter-in-law, Bobby Munion; two brothers, Kenneth (Kay) Munion and Jim (Sylvia) Munion; 24 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Also special friends, Glen Swords, Phil Newton and Barbara Moore. A special thank you to her health care giver, Christine Bumgardner. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Munion, grandson, Casey Robinson; granddaughter, Stephanie Munion; two brothers, Jack Munion and Loren Munion; two sisters, Judy Myers and Joyce Munion and her son-in-law, Robert Moore. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Burial will be at St. Peters cemetery.
