Norma Jean Peery, 80, of Columbus formerly of Franklin Furnace died June 18, 2014. She was born April 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Leonard and Marietta Alexander Collins. Norma was a former clerk at the Scioto Co. Court House, attended Cedar St. Church of Christ in Christian Union and St. Marks Methodist Church in Columbus. She was a member of AFSME, Women's Guild and the Moose Lodge in Columbus. She volunteered at SOMC, The Cancer Center, the Welcome Center and Doctor's West in Columbus. She is survived by a son, David Peery and a daughter, Rita Ann DeLawder both of Columbus. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Ted" Peery; 3 brothers, Clarence, William and Elmer Collins; 4 sisters, Lula Ison, Rosie King, Bertha Waddell and Ethel Gollihue, 2 infant sisters and a infant brother Leonard. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday June 23, 2014 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with interment to follow at Haverhill cemetery.
