Norma Jean Rawlins, 74, of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born May 20, 1935 in South Webster to the late Daniel and Mary Huston Holloway. Jean and her husband, Bob, owned and operated Bob's Grocery and Gasoline in Wheelersburg for many years. She was an avid gardener and bird-watcher and loved going to yard sales. She was a member of Scioto Furnace International Pentecostal Church and "never met a stranger". Jean loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jean is waiting in heaven for her husband of 54 years, Robert, of Wheelersburg, two sons, Gary (Anita) Rawlins of Wheelersburg and Daniel (Valerie) Rawlins of Scioto Furnace, one daughter, Deborah (Craig) Waddell of White Oak, TX, two brothers, Paul (Nancy) Holloway of Wheelersburg and Larry (Patty) Holloway of Sciotoville, three sisters, Phyllis Allen, Carolyn Sue (James) Nance, and Judy (Gary) Caldwell, all of Wheelersburg, nine grandchildren, Bobbi (Billy) Duncan, Kelly (Jason) Downs, Adam Waddell (fiance' Chay Goodman), Joshua Rawlins (fiance' Monica Bradbury), Ethan Rawlins, Travis Rawlins, Wyatt Rawlins, Ryan Rawlins, and Austin Rawlins, and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Waddell and Bailey Duncan. In addition to her parents, Jean was met in heaven by her sister Lorine Traylor and a brother, Roger Holloway, who died in infancy. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Cline McCallister officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Furnace Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
