Opal E. Spurlock, 90 of Ashley Corner (Wheelersburg) died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Hillview Retirement Center. She was born January 11, 1918 in Johnson Co., KY. a daughter of the late Wilson and Lenore Watkins Salyers. Opal was a former beautician and manager at the Marting's Salon for over 22 years and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in South Webster. She is survived by a daughter, Lois Gail Burnett and husband Patrick of Wheelersburg; one sister, Imogene Connelley of Salyersville, KY.,; two grandchildren, Patrick Spurlock Burnett and Andrea Burnett-Southern; three grandchildren, Patrick Lee Burnett, Riley Norma Burnett and Branson Patrick Southern. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 1985, Lester J. Spurlock. Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at Memorial Burial Park with Rev. Patrick Burnett officiating.
