Otis C. Moore, age 100, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday March 9, 2024 at the Courtyard at Wheelersburg. He was born October 5, 1923, the first born child of the late Jay Carl and Bessie (Green) Moore.

He worked for Empire Detroit Steel for 33 years. He was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School, loved to travel, reading, NASCAR, fishing and jigsaw puzzles, going to flee markets and helping his neighbors.

Otis is survived by a daughter, Karen (Al) Fundaburk of Piketon, two daughters-in-law, Saundra Moore of Lucasville and Sharon Moore of Smithfield, NC; a brother Ronnie Moore of London, OH and a sister, Wellma Pherson of Wheelersburg, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including a great-grandson he had a special relationship with, Gabriel Nichols.

He was also preceded in death by Edna, his wife of 65 years, his two sons, Paul and David; three brothers, William (Glen) Moore, Jack Moore and Michael Moore; 5 sisters, Mary Lee Adkins, Irene Lewis, Betty Fraley, JoAnn Schisler and Patricia Snook.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 15, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Associate Pastor Albert Fundaburk officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Burial Park, Edgewood Abby Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
