Patricia (Flannery) Fenimore, 82, passed on Monday, June 18, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 23, 1936 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late George and Opal Flannery. She was one of eight children. Pat graduated from Washington Township High School, class of 1953. She attended and received her Bachelor's Degree at Ohio University. She then went on to start her teaching career with the Valley Educational System. After 6 years, she took a Kindergarten position with Wheelersburg Local Schools where she eventually retired after 30 years of service.
Surviving are her husband, Carl (Pete) Fenimore; one son, Scot (Martha) Fenimore of Wheelersburg; one daughter, Jamie Fenimore of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Zack Fenimore, Josh Fenimore, Justin Hill, Lexus Fenimore, Alli Howard, and Alaina Marsh; two sisters, Helen Tyminski of Florida and Sheila (Sean) Chu of Nevada; one brother, Vernon Flannery of California; sister-in-law, Barbara Flannery of Indiana; four beloved great-grandchildren, Malorie, Jayce, Aubrie, Hadleigh; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Mike, and Larry, and one sister, Elaine.
The family would like to express their thanks for the amazing help and care given by SOMC Hospital and the Hospice Center! Because of Pat's huge heart and love for teaching, she chose to continue her passion by donating her body to Ohio State University for research purposes. To respect her wishes, there will be no services held. If desired, friends may make contributions in her memory to SOMC Hospice at 2201 25th Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
