Age 68 of Portsmouth, passed away February 24, 2016 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born in Logan, WV on July 4, 1947 to William and Mary (Smith) Carter. Mary worked in Housekeeping at Mercy then SOMC for 37 years before retiring. She was big fan of computers, especially Facebook, and enjoyed yard sales, auctions, and dining out at Sisters Dairy Bar in Sciotoville with her friends. She was a joyous person and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Linkous (Dave) of Portsmouth, Tammy White (Paul) of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother, Roy Carter (Lou) of Portsmouth; one sister, Barb Siebert (Calvin) of Minford; four grandchildren, Ambre and Ryan Linkous, Travis and Justin White; one great-grandaughter, Hadlee Linkous. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may gather 10 - 12 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME to visit and celebrate her life. A funeral procession will then leave for Mt.
