Patricia Stapleton, 90, of Portsmouth passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Rosemount Pavilion.  She was born January 10, 1932 in Portsmouth to the late Robert Lee and Margret (Cassidy) Strickland.  Patricia was a longtime member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union in New Boston.  She loved to read and write.  She had a special passion for studying the Bible.  She love taking care of her flowers, especially her rose bushes and spending time playing with her grandkids.

Patricia is survived by a son, Alan Jones of Portsmouth; two daughters, Linna Madden and husband Dale of Franklin Furnace, Patricia Teeters and husband Ricky of Sebring, Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stapleton; brothers, Walter Wayne Strickland and Bud Strickland; half brother, John Miller; sister, Mary Grace Miller-Stacy and five other sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Rev.
