Age 39, of Portsmouth, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Southern Ohio Medical Center He was born in Portsmouth on October 15, 1980 to Paul D. and Beverly (Cooley) Charles, Sr A 1999 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, Paul worked as a laborer for a lumber company In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing baseball.

He is survived by his mother, Beverly Charles of Portsmouth; grandfather, Robert Cooley of New Boston; daughters, Olivia and Ragan Charles, both of Portsmouth; sisters, Crystal Gifford of West Palm Beach, FL, Rebecca Sanchez of Clarksville, TN, Christina Charles of Wheelersburg; half-brother, Scott Jones; stepsister, Misty Bare; stepbrothers, Randall and Shawn Rawlins; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews He was preceded in death by his father, Paul D. Charles, Sr., grandmother, Norma Cooley, and stepfather, Randy Rawlins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at D.W.
