Obituary

Paul Larry Cooper, 68, of New Boston died Fri. Oct. 22, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1942 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Paul R. Cooper and Delilah Cook Holsinger. Larry was a member of Christ Sanctuary and the refrigeration Service Engineer Society. He is survived by his stepmother, Sylvia Cooper of New Boston; 5 daughters, Becky (Mark) Campbell of Columbus, Shari (John) Patterson of Marion, Sandy (Jeff) Bargdill and Stephanie (Jimmy) Rookstool both of Columbus and Elizabeth Stepp-Raines of Cincinnati; 5 sisters, JoAnn Russell of Portsmouth, Phyllis (Dave) Vallance of Sciotoville, Lois (Ken) Jones of New Boston, Marlene (Jeff) Queen of South Webster and Vickie (Sam) Fannin of New Boston; 2 brothers, Jerry (Ethel) Cooper of New Boston and Greg (Trisha) Holsinger of South Point; 2 step-brothers, Virgil (Margie) Holsinger of New Boston, Gene (Pat) Holsinger of Xenia and a step-sister, Betty (John) Riley of Wheelersburg; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Shorty Holsinger; 2 step-brothers, Junior and Homer Holsinger and a step-sister, Lucille Phillips. Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Steve Phipps officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday 10 to 11 AM at D.W. Swick in New Boston. Donations may be made to Christ Sanctuary Building Fund, 418 Harding Ave, Sciotoville, OH 45662.
