Paula D. (Snyder) Kapes Age 65, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, formerly of Portsmouth, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2012 at her home in Cuyahoga Falls. She was born on December 28, 1946 in Portsmouth, raised in California, and had lived in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 35 years. She worked in assembly at Swaglok Company and had also worked as a cosmetologist.

She is survived by three sons, Brandon (special friend Summer Thompson) Kapes of Stow, OH, Jamie (Deidre) Kapes, of Cuyahoga Falls, Pete Kapes of Cuyahoga Falls; mother Mary Snyder of Portsmouth; 2 brothers, Gary Snyder of Redford, MI, Thomas Snyder of Portsmouth; three sisters, Lisa (Tim) Williams of Portsmouth, Star Jenkins of Portsmouth, Robin (Jerry) Thornsberry of Portsmouth; 2 grandchildren, Ashton Cozart, Liam Callam; sister-in-law, Karen Kapes of Akron. She was preceded in death by her father Norm E. Snyder Sr., brother Norm Snyder Jr., and previous husband Jim Kapes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 at Wolfe - Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Mark Bales officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Haverhill Cemetery in Franklin Furnace. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society.
