Ralph E. McNelly, 73, of South Webster died Thursday Nov. 1, 2012 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Jan. 8, 1939 in South Webster, a son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Charles McNelly. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a retired electrician from the former Empire Detroit Steel, Cyclops Corp. Ralph is survived by two sons, William McNelly of South Webster and Kevin McNelly (Bridgette) of West Portsmouth; three daughters, Karen McNelly of Sciotoville, Elizabeth Porter (Jim) of Wheelersburg and Patricia Bush of Oak Hill; 3 brothers, Larry McNelly (Sharon) of Sciotoville, Doug McNelly (Freda) of Gallipolis and Dave McNelly (Penny) of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Justin McNelly, Mollie Campbell (Josh), Lisa McNelly (Bob), Kyle Porter (Karen), Brad Shank, Austin and Levi Porter, Victoria and Bethany Bush, Garrett McNelly, Ethan and Aliea McNelly; 2 great-grandchildren, Evie Porter and Macie J. Campbell; a sister-in-law, Charlotte McNelly of Wheelersburg and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mollie McNelly, a brother, James McNelly and 2 grandsons, Ryan Scott McNelly and Aaron Steven Metzler. Services will be 2 PM Monday Nov. 5, 2012 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN SOUTH WEBSTER with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Interment will be at South Webster cemetery with graveside military honors by James Erwin Post 622, American Legion officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 4 to 8 PM and Monday 1 to 2 PM at D.W.
