Rhonda Sue (Apel) Comer, 58, of Sciotodale got her Angel Wings on Tuesday January 18, 2022 after a long, hard fight with cancer. She was born October 14, 1963 in Portsmouth, a daughter of Chester and Barbara (Graff) Apel of Sciotodale.
Rhonda was a nurse at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility and a 1981 graduate of Wheelersburg High School. She enjoyed reading, riding 4 wheelers, side by sides and going camping. She also enjoyed laying in the sun with her sister.

Rhonda is also survived by her loving husband, Mark Comer; two stepsons, Mark (Lena) Comer and Ben Comer;  brothers, Joe Apel and Dusty (Tammy) Apel; sister, Cheri Page; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her special SOCF peeps. She was loved by many and will be deeply and sadly missed.

The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice Center who took such wonderful care of her the past two weeks.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday January 22, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Minford. Visitation will be 5 to 8 PM Friday January 21, 2022 and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
