Age 80 of Franklin Furnace, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born December 20, 1936 in Dayton to Arnold and Bernice (Sweezy) Hart. Richard was a Vietnam Veteran and spent 20 years honorably serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. After his retirement from the military he worked for the U.S. government in an administrative position for the Department of Finance and Accounting. He enjoyed reading and collecting coins.

He is survived by his sons, Alex Hart of Franklin Furnace and Richard (Debbie) Hart of Turlock, CA; grandchildren, Amanda, Sara, and David Hart; two great-grandchildren; special nephew, Michael Maloof of Indianapolis, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Reva in 2002 and June in 2009; one brother and one sister.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Junior Furnace Cemetery in Franklin Furnace with military honors provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion. Online condolences may be left at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
