Ricky A. Grooms, 5 of Portsmouth died Sat. April 2, 2011 at SOMC Hospice Center after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 6, 2005 in Portsmouth, a son of Ricky Grooms II and Mary Barnett Grooms. Ricky is also survived by two sisters, Isabella Grooms and Gabriella Grooms at home; grandparents, Chester and Charlene Barnett of Franklin Furnace, Ricky A. Grooms and Dana Cattel both of Portsmouth, great-grandmother, Connie Wolford of Portsmouth; aunt, Ashley Barnett of Franklin Furnace; uncle, Ryan Grooms of Portsmouth and great-aunt, Contance Eastwood of Portsmouth. Services will be 2 PM Wed., April 6, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Bradley Brandt officiating. Burial will be at Vernon cemetery.
