Rinford A. (Rennie) Green, age 94, born March 28, 1930, passed peacefully on the afternoon of July 5th, surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Laura Green, as well as his much loved son, Phillip.

He is survived by his wife Sudie, the love of his life, with almost seventy years of marriage. He is also survived by sons Scott (Tina) of Wheelersburg, David (Staci) of Newnan, GA, grandsons Christopher, Connor, Jordan, Tyler and Michael as well as great- grandchildren.

Rennie was a long time and proud resident of Wheelersburg. Retired from the USPS with over thirty years of service, he was the builder and operator of Crestview Mobile Home Park, as well as the owner/ operator of Green Mobile Transport. An ardent community supporter, Rennie served on the Porter Township EMS, served two terms on the Wheelersburg School Board, and raised monies on various projects for Wheelersburg Athletics. It can be said that he worked on many projects for the good of the community, unknown to most, as he had no desire for credit or fanfare. Rennie was an only child, born at home in Greenup County, but marrying Sudie brought him into her much larger family. He was a wonderful brother-in-law to her siblings, and became a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was an avid reader and prolific gardener, with special secrets and processes to grow incredible yields of vegetables to share with family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at 1 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with Paster Scott Rawlins officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call from 11 AM until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
