Age 81 of Wheelersburg went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.  He was born in East Lynn, WV on October 9, 1934 to Eph and Flossie (Adkins) Asbury.  Robert was an Army Veteran and the Pastor for Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Portsmouth.

He is survived one son, Robbie Asbury, Jr. of Wheelersburg; one sister, Lois Queen of Commercial Point; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth and William Foster of Saraland, AL.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; brothers, Wilmer, Harvey, Clyde, and Ervin Asbury; sisters, Helen Lambert and Dottie Taylor.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in South Webster with military honors provided by the American Legion James Dickey Post #23.  Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
