Reverend Robert E. Davis, Sr.

Age 65, of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday March 22, 2023 at the SOMC Emergency Room. He was born June 22, 1957, a son of the late James and Shelby (Speaks) Davis, and his adopted parents, Leonard and Darlene Westberg of Junction City, KS.

He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Texas Bible College in Houston, TX. He loved preaching and his ministry touched thousands of lives worldwide. He had a passion for missions and building churches internationally, he was fearless in his preaching (even when in extreme pain), and dedicated to the apostolic doctrine especially the message of Acts 2:38. He was an avid reader, well known for his humor, kindness, and generosity. He spent many hours teaching, counseling, and praying for those that he had the privilege of pastoring.  He was a friend to the loner, the misunderstood, and the outcast.

Reverend Davis is survived by his wife, Dolly (Williams) Davis; a son, Robert E. Davis Jr. and wife Katie of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Ashley N. Davis of Wheelersburg; one brother Thomas Davis and wife Amy of Hackett, AR; one sister Teri Mills and husband Paul of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Robert "Trey" III, Branson, Adalyn, Josiah, Caysen, Shelby, and Garrett. His legacy will continue through his family, his church members, and ministers he loved so much. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday March 28, 2023 at Truth Tabernacle in Wheelersburg with Rev. William Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park.
