Robert M. McClaskey 62, of Sciotoville died Tuesday Dec. 11, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Sept. 4, 1950 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Orville and Losa Lewis McClaskey. He was a former security guard and served in the U.S. Marines. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Smith McClaskey; a son, Robert M. McClaskey of Florida; a daughter, Christine McClaskey of Florida; 2 stepsons, John (Angel) Silvey of Wheelersburg and Tim (Mollie) Silvey of Reynoldsburg; 1 stepdaughter, Lisa Meyers of Wheelersburg; 2 sisters, Ethel Wright and Helen Dalton both of Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Mosley, Charlotte Eichinger and Wanda Porter; 3 brothers, Orville, Albert and Pat McClaskey and 2 infant brothers. Services will be 12 noon Monday Dec. 17, 2012 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON . Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans NE Cemetery with military graveside honors by James Flannery Post 276, American Legion. Visitation will be Sunday 5 to 7 PM and Monday 11 to 12 noon at D.W.
