Age 90, of Sciotoville, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born on September 10, 1924 in Portsmouth to Charles and Lilly (Bender) McLaughlin. A retired Engineer for Norfolk & Southern Railroad, he was a 1942 graduate of Minford High School and a member of the Wheelersburg Church of Christ in Wheelersburg.

He is survived by his son, Tom McLaughlin (Texanna) of Sciotoville; daughter, Sue Lacy of Mt. Sterling, KY; two grandchildren, Leeanne and Samantha McLaughlin of Sciotoville. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; daughter, Sara Harris; two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Lynn Wessel officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call from 9 - 10 before the service at the funeral home.
