Age 74, of New Boston, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born on January 9, 1938 in New Boston to Fred and Gladys (Upton) Crabtree. Rodney was in the Army Reserves and spent most of his professional life as an over-the-road trucker.

He is survived by three sons, Martin, Rodney, and Kevin, all of Columbus; two daughters, Angela and Karen, both of Columbus; two brothers, Earl Crabtree of Portsmouth and Ronald Crabtree of McDermott; one sister, Janet Ratliff of Goshen IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Crabtree of Columbus.
