Rodney Lee Rowe, 57, of Wheelersburg, died Friday morning, July 9, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He was born August 22, 1952 in Portsmouth to the late Robert and Lula (Smith) Rowe. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and former owner of Rod Rock Excavation, which he worked with his father. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Ray Smith and Don Smith. He is survived by a son, Jarrod Rowe and wife Shelley of Wellston, two daughters, Kari Teeters and husband Kevin of Waverly, and Kelly Payton of West Portsmouth, two brothers, Gene Rowe and wife Betty of Wheelersburg, and Rocky Rowe and wife Michelle of Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Rodney also leaves behind five grandchildren, Ashley Berry, Janie Rowe, Alexandra Teeters, Bailey Rowe, and Jayden Hooks. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
