Roger Dean Bernthold, 57, of South Webster passed away Friday January 15, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born February 6, 1963 in Portsmouth, a son of Patricia (Woodall) Bernthold of South Webster and the late Roger Lee Bernthold. He was a former painter with the Kenworth Corp. and a 1981 graduate of South Webster High School. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, going fishing, was a Big Jokester and loved his children dearly. He had a very kind heart and would help anyone in need.

Besides his mother, Roger is survived by a son, Jarett Dean Bernthold of South Webster; a daughter, Meagan Bernthold of Columbus; two sisters, Lisa Cayton and husband Steve of Roebuck, SC, Christie Floyd and husband Tom of Wheelersburg and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday January 20, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastors Ed Litteral and Kyle Cayton officiating. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5 to 7 PM and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
