Roger L. Garlinger, 77 of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday November 20, 2024 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was bornJuly 15, 1947 in Portsmouth a son of the late Harold and Edna (McClintic) Garlinger.

He was a former truck driver having worked for Walmart for 25 years, a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and spending time talking with his friends and family.

Roger is survived by his wife, Lorna (Phillips) Garlinger whom he married on October 2, 1976 in Sciotoville; two daughters, Radawnda Garlinger-Myers and husband Joseph of Sevierville, TN and Raeanna Coyle of Huntington, WV; a brother, Lowell Staten of Columbus; a sister, Rhonda Sanders and husband Larry of Richmond, IN, grandson, Reese Hayes and a special nephew Jeremy Garlinger.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Ronnie Garlinger and son in-law Tyler Coyle.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday November 23, 2024 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastors Clyde Willis and Merit Smith officiating. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 Noon to 2 PM at the funeral home.
