Ronald Dean Jackson, 76, passed away Thursday, July 09, 2026, peacefully at home, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with those who knew and loved him. Born on July 23, 1949, in Johnson County, Kentucky, Ronald was the son of the late Eugene and Pearl (Caudill) Jackson.
Ronald found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time exploring flea markets and was an avid sports fan. His mornings always began with a good cup of coffee, and evenings were frequently spent beside his wife watching Jeopardy. Above all else, Ronald treasured the time he shared with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila Clinger Jackson; two sons, Eric Jackson of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Kirk (Tiffanie) Jackson of Lucasville, Ohio; one daughter, Lisa (Frankie) Lowder of Portsmouth, Ohio; one sister, Glada Taylor of Wheelersburg, Ohio; two brothers, Timothy Jackson and Bradley Jackson along with seven beloved grandchildren: Frankie, Kyle, Kristen, Chandler, Connor, Madilyn, and Layla.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brothers, Lynkis Jackson, Carson Jackson, Donald Jackson (his twin), Joe Jackson, and Rick Jackson; and his sisters, Linda Shoemaker, Debbie Martin, and Vicki Jackson.
Ronald will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for life's everyday moments, and the lasting impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday July 15, 2026, 1:00 PM at D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Wheelersburg, with Military Honors provided by James Dickey Post 23. Visitation will begin at 12:00 NOON until 1:00 PM.
