Ronald Eugene Tackett, 78, of Encinitas, California died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Vista Gardens Care Center in Vista, California. He was born October 4th, 1935, in South Webster, Ohio to the late Patricia Tackett on the Tackett Family Farm. As a graduate of Ohio State University, he loved the Ohio State Buckeye's and was an avid fan of the OSU College Football team. Ron was a respected accountant by profession, loved to fly as a hobby, enjoyed playing tennis, dancing, music, traveling the world, and above all, was a cherished son and devoted father to his three children. He was known as a man of strong principle, admired for his character and had a great sense of humor with an even bigger heart to help others.

He is survived by his daughters Tammie Mobley (Marc Mobley), Robin Bacon (Kirk Bacon) and his son, Ron Tackett II (Michele Tackett), six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren all of San Diego, California. Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, November 5th at the D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with James Dickey Post 23, American Legion conducting military honors. He will then be laid to rest at the Tackett Family Cemetery also in South Webster, Ohio.
