Roy Dean Holsinger Sr., 56, of Lucasville died Thurs. June 6, 2013 at Ohio State University. He was born Jan. 29, 1957 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Carl and Daisy Tackett Holsinger. Roy was a professional tree trimmer. He is survived by his companion, Debra Hettinger; 2 sons, Harold Hettinger and Jacob Holsinger; a daughter, Rachel Holsinger; a friend, Shirley McKenzie; 7 sisters, Linda, Tina, Donna, Dolly, Phyllis, Dorothy and Mary; 3 brothers, Gary, John and Floyd; grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Seth Hettinger, Shane Armano, Thomas Craddock and Amanda Johnson and many many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Roy Jr. and Jason Brown; 2 sisters, Matilda Cooper and Katherine English; 5 brothers, Eugene, Bob, Jack, Rosco and Hodie.Services will be 2 PM Sunday June 9, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment will follow at Holsinger Family cemetery in Wakefield.Visitation will be Saturday 6 to 8 PM and Sunday 1 to 2 PM at D.W. SWICK in New Boston.
