Ruby (Howard) Roof, 67, of Sciotoville died Sunday June 30, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born June 27, 1946 in Sciotoville, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Alma Colley Howard. She was a homemaker and attended Mabert Road Baptist Church. Ruby is survived by her husband, Lowell Roof of Sciotoville; a son, Larry Conley II of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Twanta Craft of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Melissa Cunningham; 5 sisters, Mary Bartee of Dayton, Betty (Doug) Rader of Wheelersburg, Patricia Humble of Wheelersburg, Verla (Ken) Messer of Wheelersburg and her twin sister, Ruth (Tim) Maggard of Wheelersburg; 3 brothers, Bob Colley of Sciotoville, Herman (Eloise) Howard of Dayton and Virgil (Phyllis) Howard of Sciotoville; 2 grandchildren, Cody and Makalyn Craft and 3 step-grandchildren, Hannah, Molly and Calib Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wilbert Howard Jr. and Vernon Howard and 2 sisters, Arvilla Ruggles and Carol Thurman. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday July 3, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Jim Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Haverhill cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday 10 to 11 AM at D.W.
