age 49 of Wheelersburg died June 18, 2009 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born May 2, 1960 in Portsmouth to James and Elfie (Loper) Barton. Ruth most recently worked at Little Caesar's in Portsmouth and previously worked for Pillsbury in Wellston for 12 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Aaron (Mindy) McIntosh of Wheelersburg, and Amy McIntosh (Fiance Billy Evans) of Wheelersburg; six grandchildren, Crystal McIntosh, Shayna Evans, Courtney McIntosh, Douglas McIntosh, Billy Evans, and Morgan Evans; her boyfriend of 16 years, Donald Hamilton, five brothers, Walter Barton of Meridian, MS, Melvin Barton of Wheelersburg, James Barton Jr. of Jackson, Floyd Barton of Sciotoville, and Harold Barton of South Shore. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Douglas in 1991, sister, Elizabeth Holbrook, and her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Rick Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10 - 11 Saturday morning at the funeral home. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
