Ruth Potters 87, of South Webster passed away Saturday February 20, 2021. She was born October 15, 1933 in South Webster, a daughter of the late Lanzie and Lorena Maynard. She was a member of South Webster Missionary Baptist Church where she loved attending church and any church functions. She was also a 1951 graduate of the former Bloom Vernon High School.
Ruth is survived by a son, Steve Potters and wife Brenda of South Webster; one daughter Teresa Toft and husband James of South Webster; brothers, Raymond Maynard of Portsmouth, Herman Maynard of Indiana and Richard Maynard of South Webster; sisters, Anita Beechler of Mansfield and Wanda Riley of Columbus; five grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Lindsey, Adam and Sara and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lafe Potters. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday February 24, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Face coverings and social distancing must be observed.
