Age 88 of East Bank, WV, died Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was born in South Point, Ohio on May 30, 1925 to the late Cam and Lula Price Holbrook. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Wellman, and one son, Larry Wellman. Ruth was a member of the Mount Lewis Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgeann Brown and Jolene Marcum, both of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two special caregivers, Gary and Vicki Frampton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Frampton officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the South Webster Cemetery in South Webster, Ohio.
