Ryan Michael Hale, 31, of West Portsmouth, entered into eternal life on Monday, September 21, 2026, at his home following an extended illness.

Ryan was born on December 10, 1994, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Damian and Anna (Cooper) Hale.

Ryan was blessed to spend his life surrounded by the love and devotion of his parents, who cared for him throughout his life. The bond they shared was one of deep love, devotion, and tenderness, and Ryan brought a special kind of joy into the lives of everyone who knew him.

Those who loved Ryan will always remember his big, unforgettable smile. He found happiness in the simple things that brought him comfort and joy. He had a special love for watching Cars, SpongeBob SquarePants, and spending time watching his dad play video games. These familiar favorites became cherished memories for his family and those closest to him.

Ryan's life may have been measured in years like anyone else's, but the love he gave and the lives he touched cannot be measured. His presence brought love, happiness, and precious moments to his family, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who cared for him.

Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Damian and Anna Hale; his grandmother, Mary Cooper; his uncles, Christopher Hale, Larry Cooper, and Jason Cooper; along with a multitude of other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kaleb Hale; his grandparents, Carl and Bertha Kay Hale and Charles Cooper; and many other beloved family members and friends who loved and cherished him.

Though Ryan's journey on earth has come to an end, the love shared with him will never fade. His smile, his favorite things, and the memories created with him will remain treasured by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral Service will be Friday, September 25, 2026, 1:30 PM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1205 Bierly Road, Portsmouth, Ohio. Family visitation is 9:30 AM- 10:00 AM, Public Visitation is 10:00 AM- 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Sciotoville.
