Age 44 of Sciotoville died September 4, 2013. He was born May 9, 1969 in Portsmouth to Pearl and Ora (Parker) McGuire. He graduated from Portsmouth East High School in 1988.

Sam was a father to Jeremy, Jasmine, Cody, Brooklyn, Gabe, and C.J. Brothers and sisters surviving are Grover, Melvin, Daniel, David, Brenda, Kathy, Lula Bell, Debra, Sondra, and Rachel. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Harvey, Ezekiel, and Zach.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Church of High Praises in New Boston with Pastor Sam Salyer officiating. Interment will follow in McGuire Cemetery in Prichard, WV. Friends may call from 10 - 11 a.m. at the chuch. Wolfe - Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
