Obituary

Sheila G. Simpson, 68, of Portsmouth passed away Friday April 15, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana, a daughter of the late Walter and Phyllis (Dockery) Johnson. She was member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church, attended East High School, loved to cook, spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and enjoyed her little red trucks.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Ronald Simpson; one son Ronald Simpson Jr. of Portsmouth, one daughter, Shona Williams and husband Charles of Sciotoville; two brothers, Walter Johnson Jr. and wife Becky of Rubyville, Ronald Johnson and wife Julie of Rarden; four sisters, Terri Goodman of Columbus, Marsha Whitt of Portsmouth, Susie Munion and husband Doug of Lucasville, Amy Goodson and husband Steve of McDermott; 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Hector, Sasha, Cortney, Kirsten, Emily, Mae and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Johnson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday April 25, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Ryan Hagen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Sunday April 24, 2022 and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
